Our Old Traditions Tallow Balm is made here in Nebraska, one small batch at a time, with the utmost care!
We use simple & clean ingredients that you can pronounce, and don't have to spend 10 minutes reading through. Beef Tallow, Cold Pressed, refined Jojoba Oil, Roasted Coffee Bean Oil, & Pure Vanilla Oil. That's it!
Q: Does tallow leave your skin feeling oily?
A: Tallow should not leave your skin oily. As an animal fat, tallow mimics your skin's sebum, to rebalance natural oil production, which helps if you have oily skin. If your skin doesn't absorb what you apply, then you are applying too much. Remember, a little goes a long way! Especially on your face!

Tallow has vitamins that won't all be found in plant based products, or products offered at the store, that are packed with chemicals. Those vitamins include A, D, E, K, & B12. Tallow is also loaded with Collagen, which helps reduce wrinkles and fine lines, hydrate skin, improve your skin tone, repair wounds, enhance elasticity, and the list goes on! In addition, Tallow contains antimicrobial, and antibacterial properties which can help remove harmful bacteria from your skin, without stripping it of the good bacteria, as well as stopping the spread of other things like viruses, or fungi. Therefore being known to help with issues such as acne, eczema, rashes, psoriasis, diaper rash, etc!
Since Tallow contains antibacterial, and anti-inflammatory properties, it's an excellent ointment for accidents like scratches, cuts, scrapes, burns, and bruises.

Coffee Bean Oil: Coffee oil can help treat acne-prone skin, due to it's anti-inflammatory properties, it can also help soften the skin and retain moisture. Coffee oil's caffeine can stimulate blood circulation around the eyes, which can help brighten dark circles, and those under-eye bags. The vitamin E found in Coffee Oil (and also in the Tallow), can help soothe your skin, and reduce the appearance of cellulite.

That being said... Tallow has been used since the Bronze Age at least! It's been referenced it historical texts, and was known to be used for ancient medical treatment of burns, scrapes, and various other ailments. The ancients recognized the nourishing and healing properties of animal fats, including tallow, and incorporated them into their life. I believe God gave us so many natural healing elements, and we just don't tap into them often enough.
